Full-Time Police Officer

The Emmaus Borough Civil Service Commission is seeking applicants to establish an Eligibility List for the position of Police Officer.  Applications may be obtained in the Borough Manager’s Office, Emmaus Borough Hall, 28 S. Fourth Street, Emmaus, PA, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Completed applications must be filed on or before 4 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Borough Manager’s Office.  All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of $75.00 upon submission of a completed application.  To be eligible for participation in any examination, an applicant must have reached his or her twenty-first (21st) birthday before the deadline for submitting a completed application.  The applicant must be a United States citizen, be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police Officer, and must possess a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator’s license prior to appointment.  All applicants are required to possess Act 120 certification, be 21 years of age, and have a high school diploma or GED at the time of conditional hiring offer.  Applicants are required to take and pass a written examination, oral examination, physical agility test, and polygraph test.  Successful applicants selected from the Eligibility List will be required to take both a physical and a psychological examination after an offer of conditional employment.  The Borough provides an excellent benefits package and very competitive salary.  The dates for the administering of the test are as follows:  Written Examination, April 14, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon at St. Ann School Cafeteria, 435 South Sixth Street, Emmaus, PA, the Physical Agility Test, April 28, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Emmaus High School Main Gym and Track, 851 North Street, Emmaus, PA, and the Oral Examination, May 23, 2018 at Emmaus Borough Hall Community Room, 28 S. Per Diem Paramedics and EMT's


The Emmaus Ambulance Corps is currently seeking applications for Part-Time experienced Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.  Please apply at Borough Town Hall.

**The Borough of Emmaus has immediate openings for part-time EMT's.  The open position is for the folllowing shifts:  10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Part-time hours are up to 29 hours per week.  The position pays $13.97 per hour.  Successful candidates shall be a Pennsylvania-certified EMT and shall have all updated certifications at the time of hire.  Candidte shall have a valid PA driver's license, HazMat Awareness Course, EVOC, at least one year active, documented experience as an EMT.  Application can be found below or at Borough of Emmaus Town Hall, 28 S. 4th Street, Emmaus, PA  18049.  Please submit your application to Emmaus Town Hall by Friday, June 16th at at 12:00 p.m.  Specific questions can be directed to Jeff Hoffman, EMS Chief at 610-967-5616, ext. 101.  Include copies of all certifications and background checks with application.  EOE.
