THEFT:  reported on 1/9/17 in the 500 block of State Road.  2 actors removed 4 tires totaling $100

HIT & RUN:  reported on 1/11/17 in the unit block of N 2nd Street.  Unknown vehicle struck the driver’s side of victim’s Chevy Impala causing $3,000 damage.

DEFIANT TRESPASS:  Anneliese Miraglia, 30 of Emmaus was arrested on 1/14/17 for Defiant Trespass and Criminal Mischief after being involved in a domestic dispute in the 300 block of S 16th Street.

THEFT:  a black Mongoose bicycle was stolen from the unit block of S Cherry Street on 1/15/17. The bicycle was valued at $300.

 

    

 Emmaus Police Department’s K9 Ronny has received body armor

Emmaus Police Department’s K9 Ronny has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Ronny’s vest is sponsored by The Landis Family Foundation and embroidered with the sentiment “Gifted with gratitude - The Landis Family Foundation”.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. The non-profit was established in 2009 to assist law enforcement agencies with this potentially lifesaving body armor for their four-legged K9 officers. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. provided over 2,200 protective vests, in 50 states, through private and corporate donations, at a cost of over 1.9 million dollars. All vests are custom made in the USA by Armor Express in Central Lake, MI.

The program is open to dogs actively employed in the U.S. with law enforcement or related agencies who are certified and at least 20 months of age. New K9 graduates, as well as K9s with expired vests, are eligible to participate.

The donation to provide one protective vest for a law enforcement K9 is $1,050.00. Each vest has a value between $1,795 – $2,234 and a five-year warranty, and an average weight of 4-5 lbs. Theft from Motor Vehicle:  reported 12/23/16 in the 900 block of Little Lehigh Drive.  Actor entered vehicle and removed headphones and a GPS totaling $130.

Theft from Motor Vehicle:  reported 12/23/16 in the 800 block of Lawrence Drive.  Actor entered unlocked vehicle and remove a purse and cash totaling $190.

Theft:  reported on 12/23/16 in the unit block of E Berger Street. Actor removed a Star Shower Projector and extension cord valued at $50.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle:  a 2000 Maroon Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen on 12/23/16 from the 700 block of Lawrence Dr.  Vehicle was recovered by Allentown Police Department on 12/26/16

Burglary:  reported at David’s Electric, 314 Main Street on 12/28/16.  Actor pulled out a basement window and entered the basement.

Burglary:  reported on 12/31/16 in the 500 block of Liberty Street.  Actor entered an unlocked garage, causing $200 in damage.  Nothing reported stolen.

Simple Assault:  Paris Anderson, 31 of Emmaus was arrested for Simple Assault and Harassment.  Nahtarsha Cherry, 43 of Emmaus was arrested for Harassment in the 600 block of Alpine Street on 12/31/16 after a domestic dispute.

Theft:  reported on 1/2/17 in the 200 block of N 5th Street.  Actor removed a Schwinn Cross Tour bicycle valued at $250.

Theft:  reported on 1/3/17 in the 500 block on N 3rd Street.  Actor removed 7 tires and rims from victim’s vehicle totaling $800.

Driving Under the Influence:  Rey Perez, 24 of Allentown was arrested for Driving Under the Influence on 11/25/16 in the 300 block of Green Street.  Perez was transported to Lehigh County DUI Center and processed.

Found Item:  A Rhino Outreach Mountain bicycle was found in the unit block of S 2nd Street.  Bicycle is stored at police headquarters.

Theft from Motor Vehicle:  reported on 1/4/17 in the 200 block of N 7th Street.  Actor removed driver’s side tires and rims totaling $450.

Burglary:  reported on 1/5/17 in the 300 block of N 5th Street.  Actor broke a garage window and removed a Power Washer and Snow Thrower valued at $898.

Found Item:  a Raleigh Pursuit Bicycle was found on 1/5/17 in the unit block of S 2nd Street.  Bicycle is stored at police headquarters.

Simple Assault:  Janet Vazquez, 38 of Emmaus was arrested on 1/7/17 in the 1000 block of Cold Stream Circle for Simple Assault, Harassment and Possession of an Instrument of Crime after a domestic disturbance.  Vazquez was transported to Lehigh County Booking Center  and processed.

Theft from Motor Vehicle:  reported on 12/15/2016 in the 100 block of Pine Street.  Actor entered unlocked vehicle and removed $3.00 in change.

Theft from Motor Vehicle:  reported on 12/15/2016 in the 600 block of State Rd.  Actor removed change, a dog tag and a wedding band totaling $204.00.

Hit & Run:  reported on 12/19/2016 in the 100 block of Harrison Street.  Unkown vehicle struck and damaged the driver's side mirror of the victim's GMC truck whitle it was parked.  Estimated damage $200.00.

Driving Under the Influence:  Albert Miller, 61 of Emmaus was arrested on 12/10/2016 for Driving Under the Influence, speeding and lack of insurance.  He was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center and processed and released.

Criminal Mischief:  reported on 12/8/16 in the 200 block of Ridge Street. Unknown actor damaged the passenger side mirror of victim’s vehicle causing $350 damage.

Criminal Mischief:  reported on 12/10/16 in the 1400 block of Chestnut Street. Unknown actor shot a garage bay window out with a BB gun causing $300 damage.

Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana:  Mustafa Qureshi, 19 of Trexlertown was arrested on 12/9/16 for Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana on Cedar Crest Blvd.

Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana:  Samantha Roman, 18 of Allentown was arrested on 12/10/16 in the 300 block of Alpine Street for Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana.

Driving Under the Influence:  Marc Dewalt, 49 of Bethlehem was arrested on 12/9/16 for Driving Under the Influence after being involved in an accident in the 400 block of Dalton Street. Dewalt was transported to Lehigh County DUI Center for processing.

Driving Under the Influence:  Alan Rozich, 62 of Exton was arrested on 12/9/16 for Driving Under the Influence & Restriction on Alcoholic Beverages in the 1400 block of Chestnut Street. He was transported to Lehigh County DUI Center for processing.

Simple Assault:  Kenneth Echevarria-Rodriguez, 30 of Emmaus was arrested for Simple Assault and Harassment on 9/13/16 after being involved in an domestic dispute in the 300 block of Minor Street.  He was processed at Lehigh County Central Booking.

Harassment:  Gabriel Cerda, 30 of Allentown was arrested on 12/13/16 for Harassment in the 100 block of Crestway after a fight ensued at that location.  A citation was filed at the Magistrate’s Office.

 

DECEMBER 12, 2016

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  reported on 12/5/16 in the 500 block of Seem Street.  Victim’s front door window was damaged by bb pellets.  Estimated cost $200.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  reported on 12/5/16 in the unit block of S 4th Street.  Actor broke the driver’s side window of victim’s parked vehicle causing $500 damage.

THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE: reported on 12/5/16 in the 800 block of Walnut Street.  Actor removed 2 doors from victim’s Jeep Wrangler.  Estimated value $400.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT:  (1) One 16 and (1) one 17 year old females were arrested for Disorderly Conduct on 12/2/16 after being involved in a disturbance at the Emmaus High School.  Citations were issued at the Magistrate’s Office.

USE OF TOBACCO IN SCHOOLS:  a 16 year old male was arrested on 12/2/16 for Use of Tobacco in Schools at the Emmaus High School.  A citation was filed at the Magistrate’s Office.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA:  Jaime Angstadt, 33 of Quakertown was arrested on 11/29/16 in the 500 block of State Rd for Possession of Marijuana, Careless Driving and Expired Inspection after a traffic stop.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: a 16 year old male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct on 11/9/16 after an altercation with another student at the Emmaus High School.  A citation was filed with the Magistrate’s Office.

BURGLARY:  William Lutsko, 50 of Quakertown was arrested on 10/17/16 for Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Theft and Driving Under the Influence after entering a home in the unit block of Harrison Street and removing items after being informed that he was not permitted at the location.  He was transported to Lehigh County DUI Center and processed.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:  Andrew Flood, 24 of Emmaus was arrested for Driving Under the Influence on 10/14/16 on N 10th Street.  He was transported to Lehigh County Booking Center and processed.

     At 9:45 this morning a male entered the BB&T Bank located at 1130 Chestnut St. and demanded money while displaying a handgun.  The male left with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a vehicle that was recovered several blocks from the Bank. The vehicle had been previously reported stolen from a business in Upper Macungie Township.  Anyone with information may contact Emmaus Police Detectives at (610) 967-3113.

Criminal Mischief:  reported on 11/22/16 in the 700 blk of Lawrence Drive.  Actor threw a glass bottle at victim’s shed causing a crack. Estimated damage $100

Identity Theft:  reported on 11/23/16.  Unknown actor attempted to open a checking account using victim’s information.

Possession of Marijuana:  Brian Zielinski, 18 of Allentown was arrested on 11/24/16 for Possession of Marijuana,    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Alcohol by a Minor and a Red Light Violation in the 100 blk of Main Street. 

Hit and Run:  reported on 11/26/16 in the 100 blk of E Main Street.  Unknown vehicle struck victim’s red Mazda causing damage to driver’s side front corner.

Simple Assault:  Vaugh Robinson, 33 of Emmaus was arrested for Simple Assault and two (2) counts of Disorderly Conduct on 11/27/16 after being involved in a domestic dispute in the 500 blk of Broad Street. Robinson was transported to Lehigh County Booking Center and processed.

Simple Assault:  John Cramsey, 20 of Wescosville and Darrian Brubacher, 21 of Emmaus were arrested on 11/22/16 for Simple Assault, Harassment and Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the 0 blk of N 6th Street after physically assaulting the victim, causing bruising and cuts.

Driving Under the Influence:  Sheila Saeger, 55 of Emmaus was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and a Red Light Violation on E Main Street.  She was transported to Lehigh County Booking Center and processed.

Driving Under the Influence:  Brian Case, 51 of Barto was arrested on 11/15/16 for Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and Leaving the Scene of an Accident after being involved in a hit and run accident in the 600 blk of Broad Street.  He was transported to Lehigh County Book Center and processed.

 

Hit & Run:  reported on 11/20/16 in the 500 blk of Furnace Street.  Unknown vehicle struck victim’s blue Honda Civic damaging the driver’s side mirror and rear panel. Estimated damage $2,000.

Theft:  reported on 11/20/16 in the 500 blk of North Street.  Actor entered a trailer parked on victim’s property and removed an aluminum jack and a Honda generator totaling $1,750.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle:  reported on 11/21/16 in the 400 blk of E Harrison Street.  Actor entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed $8 cash
