Winter Storm – Plowing Reminders

December 16, 2020

The weather forecast is calling for a significant amount of snow beginning Wednesday, December 16th.  It is predicted to last through Thursday morning. Our Public Works staff has already begun preparing for the storm and will be clearing streets throughout the entire length of the storm. If you are able, please park your vehicles off the street. We understand that there may be a great deal of snow, but if you shovel your sidewalk or driveway prior to the completion of plowing, please know that in all likelihood, the plow truck will plow the snow back onto your sidewalk or driveway. Please do not throw any snow back into the street, as it is both unsafe and illegal. When you are out shoveling snow, please be safe and do not over-exert yourself.

We ask that you refrain from driving on the streets until after the storm is over and the streets are completely cleared, unless it is either an emergency or you absolutely must go somewhere. This will help ensure the safety of our residents as well as our staff, as they are working to clear the streets in a safe manner.
